The Department of Education has organized its 9th Early Grade Reading Workshop for PRTs of Ladakh TCV schools at Phodrang (Yeway-Tsal) Choglamsar from June 21-25, 2015. This workshop is attended by 34 teachers from TCV Schools at Choglamsar, Agling and Jangthang. The teachers are taking active participation in the workshop.

Few lady teachers, in spite of having small babies, young children and pregnant are attending the workshop actively every day. The resource person of the workshop is Dr. Latika Gupta from Delhi University. She has been conducting the EGR Workshop since 2014.

The Department of Education, CTA is very hopeful that by the end of 2015 all the PRTs of Tibetan Schools would be able to get EGR workshop. This workshop is funded by USAID through The Tibet Fund.
