Dharmashala: The Tibetan Children’s Education and Welfare Fund held its 58th Governing Body Meeting in the conference hall of the Department of Education (CTA) on the afternoon of 28 October 2026, chaired by its Chairperson, Education Kalon (Minister) Urgen Tenzin.
The meeting was attended by Education Secretary Karma Choeying, Secretary Jampa Phuntsok of the Department of Health; Secretary Thupten Tsering of the Department of Finance; Secretary Kunga Gyaltsen of the Election Commission; Director of the Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society, Tsering Dhondup Drongpa; and the Body’s Treasurer, Dawa, along with staff of the department.
At the meeting, the committee reviewed the resolutions adopted and implemented at the previous 57th meeting, along with the annual report for the fiscal year 2025-2026 and the Chartered Accountant’s audited financial statements. It further considered the fiscal income for 2026–27, the appointment of an auditor, and the review and approval of interim expenditure requested from the Fund’s accounts through 30 September 2026.
