Dharamshala: The Tibetan Terminology Standardising Board held its 43rd meeting for six days from 27 July to 1 August 2026, at the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration.
Additional Secretary Kunga Gyaltsen from the Department of Education, the president of the Tibetan Terminology Standardising Board, along with board members Geshe Ngawang Namdol, Menrampa Sonam Dolkar Oshoe, former TCV English teacher Tenzin Dargye, former director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives’ science department Karma Thubten, the secretary and a member of the Committee Urgyen Tenzin, and the Terminology section staff attended this meeting.
Over the course of this meeting, a total of 560 terms were finalised from the list of 700 proposed terms for application in Science, Education, Law, Politics, Economics, Accounting, Environment, and Technology.
The Term Book series, up to volume 19, has been published, and a dedicated website for searching terms (www.tibterminology.net), along with application software, has been developed.
