The Department of Education, CTA has organized 14-day In-service Training for 21 TGT English teachers of Tibetan schools in India and Nepal at National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Delhi. The training was started on June 8, 2015 and closed on June 21, 2015.

 

The objective of the training was to upgrade our teachers with the different ways of teaching and learning of English language. It was also aimed to develop the professional growth of the teachers. Teachers from Tibetan Children Village (TCV), Sambhota Tibetan School Society (STSS), Snow Lion Foundation (SLF) Nepal, Tibetan Homes Foundation (THF) Mussoorie, TNMF Clement Town and Sera Je Secondary School have attended in this In-Service Training Program.

 

During the training, the teacher-participants interacted with many faculty members of NCERT, Delhi and they have gained many things about teaching as well as learning of language from this In-Service Training Program. This 14-day In-service Training is funded by Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), Canada.
