DHARAMSHALA: A two-day meeting to review and standardise the final mathematics textbook for Class I and II of Tibetan schools was held on 7 and 8 March at Lhakpa Tsering Memorial hall, Gangchen Kyishong.

The meeting organised by the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, was attended by Mr Tenzin Dorje, Principal of Petoen school and Math teachers Ms Trinley Palmo and Mr Lobsang Gonpo. Officials from the education department who attended the meeting include Education Officer Mr Tsering Samdup, Mr Sonam Sangpo, Mr Lobsang Tenzin, Mr Tenzin Choephel and Ms Tenzin Tsephel.

The textbook review and standardisation project was funded by NCA. The new textbooks will be distributed to Tibetan schools and will also be available on the official website of the education department.
