2017 Jai Mukhi Scholarship

The Department of Education, CTA is pleased to announce Jai Mukhi Scholarship for 3month course from April to June 2017 from the Oxford Programme for Undergraduate Studies (OPUS), UK. We are thankful for Prof. Deepak Mukhi, Program. Director, OPUS. Program detail could be accessed at Oxford Program.

The scholarship will include tuition, single room housing, academic fees, library fees, Orientation, membership of the Oxford Union Society, and participation in trips and special events in the UK and in Oxford.  Exceptionally, OPUS will also provide a meal allowance of £50 per week for 8 weeks to each scholarship student for a total value of £400.  The value of the scholarship is £5,000 per candidate for the term.   The only cost borne by students will be general living expenses and travel to the UK.

The DoE will shortlist two candidates from CTA Staff and another two from Tibetan Schools under DoE. However, the final selection will be done by the OPUS and it could be possible that both final selected candidates could be from Tibetan School or CTA Staff or one each. Any qualified candidate from the age of 20-25 would be preferred in selection.  

School Teacher requirements:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as a Teacher (original copy)
• No Objection Certificate from your work place (original copy)
• A copy of updated Registration Certificate (RC)
• A copy of updated Tibetan green book
• A copy of Degree certificate or Marks card
• A copy of Travel Document (IC)

For CTA Staff: (From the rank of Section officer to Joint Secretary)

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience (original copy from Public Service Commission)
• He/she must agree in writing to comply with Staff Rules section no. 22
• No Objection Certificate from your work place (original copy)
• A copy of updated Registration Certificate (RC)
• A copy of updated Tibetan green book
• A copy of Degree certificate or Marks card
• A copy of Travel Document (IC)

Application to be submitted to the following address, on or before February 17, 2017. Selection interview is scheduled at Department of Education, CTA Dharamsala on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. The final selected candidate will enter agreement with the DoE.
