CBSE declares results of Classes X and XII under Special Scheme of Assessment

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday, 22 July 2022 declared the results of both Classes XII and X on its official website cbseresults.nic.in. In Class XII, a total of 1027 students from 16 Tibetan schools appeared for the AISSCE, out of which 997 cleared the exam with an overall pass percentage of 97.08, and an average percentage of 73.48, whereas, 1188 students in Class X from 27 schools appeared for the AISSE, out of which 1117 cleared the exam with an overall pass percentage of 94.02 and an average percentage of 63.14.

Tenzin Woeser of STS Bylakuppe with 95.2 % and Tenzin Choedon of TCV School, Upper Dharamsala with 95 %, both belonging to Class XII Arts are the recipients of the Sikyong Scholarship this year.

For the academic session 2021-22, considering the prevailing COVID-19 Pandemic situation and making the examinations student-centric, transparent, and technology-driven, the CBSE conducted examinations of both Classes X and XII in two terms through offline mode. The Term 1 exam was conducted in Nov-Dec 2021 through Multiple Choice Questions. The Term 2 exam was held in Apr-Jun 2022 through questions of different formats (case-based / situation-based, open-ended – short answer / long answer type).

As per CBSE circular dated 23.07.2022, the final results of both Classes X and XII in theory papers have been calculated with 30 % weightage for Term 1 and 70 % weightage for Term 2. In practical, equal weightage has been given to both terms.
