Dharamshala: After being sworn in by the Chief Justice Commissioner, Kalon Tharlam Dolma formally took charge as the Kalon of Education Department, CTA, in the afternoon of 10th November. The staff of the Education Department headed by Secretary Jigme Namgyal held a short gathering at the office to welcome and greet the new Kalon with ceremonial scarves. At the gathering, Kalon Tharlam Dolma said she is grateful to have gotten the opportunity to serve the Tibetan community once again.
Kalon Tharlam Dolma further emphasised collective efforts in fulfilling the obligations of the Department. She also prioritised respecting the rules and regulations under the current Kashag in achieving the goals of the Central Tibetan Administration in general and the education department in particular.
The new Kalon advised the staff to consider their service in the Central Tibetan Administration as a blessed opportunity to serve the Tibetan community.
