2017 Scholarship for Government/Public Policy

The Department of Education, CTA is pleased to announce Special Scholarship of 10 Master’s Degree at two of India’s reputed Colleges in the field of Government/Public policy. The purpose of the Scholarship is to sustain the Central Tibetan Administration by creating more candidates qualified in the field of Government/Public policy matter.

    • Scholarship Amt: INR 375,000/- per year (including housing & food)
  2. O.P. Jindal Global University, Haryana

    • College start: Aug 1, 2017
    • Certificate: Master in Public Policy (MPP)
    • Scholarship Amt: INR 485,000/- per year (including housing & food)

Application Procedure & Eligibility – Any Tibetan from India, Nepal & Bhutan can apply.

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. A copy of Bachelor’s Degree (Marks Sheet) from recognized University in India.
  3. A copy of Tibetan Green Book (own & parent) updated up to December 31, 2016. In case, your parent lives in Tibet/Separated/Deceased or one of Parent being Non-Tibetan, submit a copy of supporting letter from respective Tibetan Settlement officer.
  4. A copy of updated Registration Certificate (RC). In case, your RC is submitted for extension, submit a copy of supporting letter from respective Tibetan Settlement officer. Applicants from Nepal & Bhutan, or from Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Gangtok and North East who do not have a Registration Certificate (RC) must furnish a letter from respective Tibetan Settlement officer certifying that the applicant is a Bonafide Tibetan Refugee
  5. Applicants who are CTA Staff must have completed a minimum of 5 years of service.
  6. Anyone who discontinues the program is liable to refund Scholarship cost to the Department of Education, CTA.
  7. On completion of the program, candidate must serve the Central Tibetan Administration and/or Tibetan community for a minimum of 3 years.
  8. Interested Applicant may submit its application by choosing one of the Colleges (MIT or OPJ) with required documents to the following address on or before May 27, 2017. The DoE Scholarship committee would shortlist the candidate, and recommended for a final Phone/Skype interview by the respective College by June 2017.
