Dharamshala: The 57th Governing Body Meeting of the Tibetan Children’s Educational and Welfare Fund was convened on 9 March 2026 at the Department of Education in the presence of its Chair, Education Kalon (Minister) Tharlam Dolma Changra.
Other members in attendance included Secretary Palden Dhondup of the Department of Home; Secretary Jigme Namgyal of the Department of Education, who also serves as Secretary of the Governing Body; Secretary Tsering Dhondup of the Department of Finance; Secretary Jampa Phuntsok of the Department of Health; Tsering Dhondup, Director of the Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society; and the Body’s Treasurer, Dawa.
During the meeting, members deliberated on the progress and achievements related to resolutions adopted at the previous Governing Body meeting. The Body was also briefed on the audit of the previous financial year by its chartered accountant, reviewed interim sanctions proposed during the 2025–26 financial year, and discussed the budget proposals for the 2026–27 financial year.
