Dharamshala: The Department of Education (DoE), Central Tibetan Administration, held a six-day meeting from 1 to 6 December 2025 at the DoE Conference Hall to finalise the Class Six science textbook for Tibetan students.

Following the recommendations and guidance of the Science Textbook Review Committee on the need to translate these new textbooks, committee members convened over the six days to review, discuss, and refine the terminology and meanings in the translated lessons. They successfully finalised six chapters, with the remaining chapters scheduled for completion in the coming year.
Attending the meeting were Gedhun Dhonyoe, Head of the Department’s Textbook Section; textbook editor Chagthar Bum; Upper TCV science teacher Tenzin Ngodup; Selakui Tibetan Children’s Village School science teacher Choezin Lhamo and science teacher Lhundup Namgyal; Chauntra Tibetan Children’s Village School science teacher Tenzin Dawa; Mewoen Tsuglag Petoen School Headmistress Tenzin Choedron and science teacher Tenzin Lhadon; and Tenzin Phuntsok, incharge of the Science Laboratory at Mussoorie Tibetan School.
