Mr. T. Dhondup elaborated on the following points-
Why Professional Growth Plan- If we fail to plan we are planning to fail- Napoleon Bonaparte (after five decades we have taken up PDP and PGP to raise the educational standards in our schools.)
There is no school which is better than its teachers- the professional quality of teachers determine the standard of any school or nation as a whole-
The teachers are the lifeblood of the success of the schools-
Reading is the first step towards learning- “Research shows that one of the most reliable predictors of success in later grades is good reading ability in early grades, which comes from good teaching and from a print-rich environment-

Why PDP matters-
Every teacher is a language teacher- As a teacher it is our duty to prepare thoroughly for our class and to use well structured language for explanations. That is when you become an effective teacher; that is when you do justice to your profession as a teacher.
PDP in the reputed private English medium schools- The private schools comprise of their administrators, Academic heads, section heads, who work collectively for the benefit of both teachers and the children’s all round educational growth. Closely knit professional growth with check and instant remedy, produce the best desired academic results.
Thus the teachers move towards perpetual positive growth and adapting to proper PDP system there is no place for ego and pride in eradicating ones errors and shortcomings-

Constructive teachers monitor, stimulate, provoke, and engage the children to arouse their interest and talent for actual learning-
Teaching is not a delivery system where we just pass information to the children- proper explanation and skilful methods foster creative learning instead of rot learning-
Target for the year 2015-
To set personal professional growth plan in order to increase subject matter proficiency along with teaching skills to bring about genuine development in our Tibetan educational system-
To collaborate and make lessons easier, interesting and comprehensible for the children-
To include PDP and PGP in our weekly time table to make it a part of our school curriculum-
The PGP and PDP session ended at 12 a.m. with a vote of thanks from the Vice Principal, followed by a warm welcome tea party for all.
