For the last 56 years what has united the Tibetans around the world is mainly the presence, guidance and the tireless efforts of His Holiness the Dalai Lama now over 80 years old. The question about the future of Tibetan is urgent and critical. Since 1959, Tibetans are divided between those living in Tibet under the communist Chinese rule and those living in the free world outside Tibet scattered in more than thirty countries under different socio-economics and cultural conditions and loosing Tibetan Identity among younger generations is real threat for us.

Therefore, to know the views of young Tibetans-what is Tibetan Identity, why is it important, how can we preserve it? etc. The department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration invites essays/write-ups from young Tibetans on the topics suggested below.
