Dharamshala: The Scholarship Section of the Department of Education (DoE), Central Tibetan Administration, successfully completed the second leg of its Scholarship Awareness Programme 2025 in Tibetan schools across the Doon targeting Class XI, XII from 17 to 19 November 2025.
Sonam Sangmo, Head of the Scholarship Section, accompanied by Lobsang Dhargye, conducted sessions for approximately 500 students from Classes X to XII at STS Mussoorie, THS Mussoorie, STS Herbertpur, and TCV Selakui. Several enthusiastic parents also attended the session at STS Herbertpur.
During the sessions, students received valuable insights into various DoE scholarship opportunities, learned about eligibility criteria, and received hands-on guidance on the online application process. Participants were also given the opportunity for one-on-one interactions, where individual doubts and queries were addressed in detail. Video messages from DoE scholarship recipients and reserved-seat beneficiaries were shared to inspire students, offering a relatable peer perspective with strong motivational impact.
To ensure continued improvement of the programme, students were also requested to fill out feedback forms, which will help refine future sessions and presentation methods.
This programme was initiated based on feedback from earlier college-level awareness sessions, where participants emphasised the importance of introducing such initiatives at the school level to better prepare students for higher education and scholarship applications.
