Dharamshala: The Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) concluded a review meeting for five children’s storybooks at the Department’s hall on 26 August 2026 as part of the annual publication of ten different storybooks and five illustrated children’s books.
These included two translated storybooks titled ‘Stars and Snow Lion’ and ‘Norbu’s Guesthouse’, two traditional stories titled ‘Tiger and Frog’ and ‘Sheep and the Wolf’, and one illustrated book titled ‘Coming After Crossing the Pass’.
The review meeting was attended by team member including Editor Ngawang Tenzin and Joint Secretary Urgyen Tenzin, Head of the Terminology Section, Nyima Tso from Norbu Lingka Institute, Tibetan voice-over and translator at the Research Institute translator Sonam Gyal, children’s book editor Tsering Palzom. Once the design and layout of the storybooks are finalised, the books will be printed and distributed free of cost to Tibetan schools.
The meeting was fully funded by the U.S. State Department through the Tibet Fund.
