On 25th and 26th April 2013, a two day curriculum meeting for Physical Education as well as Music and Dance for class IX & X was held at College of Higher Tibetan studies, Sarah, located near Dharamsala. This meeting was attended by 8 Teachers from Tibetan Children’s Village schools, Sambhota Tibetan schools, and curriculum designers of the Department of Education. This meeting was chaired and inaugurated by Additional Secretary of DoE and the head of The Education Council of Tibetans in Exile Mr. Tashi Dhondup.

DoE convenes curriculum meeting for secondary schools

               Prior to this meeting, the Department of Education has already formulated curriculum for all the subjects from pre- primary to Class VIII. This year DoE has prepared a draft curriculum for the class IX and X, based on the Basic Education Policy. In the two- day meeting held at CHTS, Sarah, the members discussed and finalized the draft curriculum for Physical Education and Music and Dance for class IX and X.
