Bhandara: On 30 October 2025, Education Kalon (Minister) Tharlam Dolma Changra paid an official visit to Gothangaon Sambhota Tibetan School in Bhandara as part of her ongoing inspection tour of Sambhota Tibetan schools located in Tibetan settlements across Central India. The purpose of the visit was to assess the school’s overall academic functioning and to interact directly with students, teachers, and staff.
During the visit, Kalon Tharlam Dolma commended the students and teachers for their student-led morning assembly activities conducted under teachers’ guidance and supervision. She remarked that such initiatives reflect a healthy culture of participation and responsibility. The Kalon also appreciated the students’ dedication to learning musical instruments and other co-curricular skills, noting that these activities play a vital role in holistic education and in preserving Tibetan culture and identity.
In her remarks, the Education Kalon emphasised the importance of providing quality education regardless of the size of the student population, stressing that every school—large or small—must uphold high academic and moral standards.
According to the official itinerary, on 31 October, the Education Kalon will hold a meeting with parents to discuss students’ academic performance. The Kalon is also scheduled to visit the Tibetan Schools in Mainpat Phendeling and Odisha Phuntsok Ling.
