Ladakh: Education Kalon (Minister) Tharlam Dolma Changra visited TCV Nyoma, accompanied by the Director and Principal of TCV Ladakh, Local Health Care staff, the Jangthang coordinator, and staff from the CRO Ladakh. The visit was warmly welcomed by the Local Tibetan Assembly member, the school headmistress, Nyoma community coordinator (སྤྱི་མི་), the Nyoma camp leader, the Head of the PTA, teachers, staff, students, and residents.

At TCV Nyoma, the Kalon observed the school’s morning assembly and toured all the classes, including the kitchen, hostel, and toilet facilities. She engaged with students and teachers.

In the afternoon, Kalon visited TCV Hanley where she was warmly received by The community’s spiritual teacher (a Geshe from Sera), a member of the Local Tibetan Assembly, a member of the Local Freedom Movement, the school headmistress, Hanley community coordinator (སྤྱི་མི་), the Hanley camp leader, teachers, staff, students, and residents.

During her visit to TCV Hanley, the Education Kalon toured all the classes and interacted with students and teachers. She lengthen her excursion to include the school’s barber room, staff room, resource room, school clinic cum dispensary, kitchen, staff quarters, hostel, library cum music room, and the school’s rock garden.

Kalon concluded her visit by addressing the students, teachers, and parents, acknowledging their efforts and discussing future plans to support the schools’ development.
