NEP 2020 Webinar Kicks Off

The Department of Education, CTA in collaboration with the National Accreditation Board of Education & Training, Quality Council of India kick off the NEP-2020 webinar series starting on 25 May 2022. The National Education Policy of India 2020 (NEP 2020) was approved by the Union Cabinet of India on 29 July 2020 that aims to transform India’s education system by 2040. The objective of the webinar series is to facilitate and acquaint the Tibetan school teachers with fundamental principles, vision, and key provisions of NEP-2020.

The resource persons for the webinar are Dr. Gaurang Tiwari, Assistant Director, NABET, Dr. Patanjali Mishra, VMOU Kota, and Dr. Mamta Aswal and Dr. Bhaskar Chaudhary from Kumayun University, Nainital. The resource persons touched upon the topics related to school education as recommended in the NEP-2020. In particular, they focused on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), Competency-Based Education (CBE), Integrated Approach for Seamless Integration of Scholastic & Co-scholastic Skills, and Holistic Progress Card (HPC), School-Based Assessment (SBA), etc.

A total number of 519 teachers with 239 teachers from 26 STSS schools, 215 teachers from 6 TCV schools, and 65 teachers from 3 THF schools are participating in the set of 10 webinars that will conclude on 7 June 2022.

The NEP-2020 webinar series is funded by USAID.
