DHARAMSHALA: The final selection test for the Pestalozzi scholarship 2014 is currently underway at Dharamshala from 21 -23 July. The screening process is being conducted by the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration, in collaboration with Pestalozzi International Village Trust (PIVT), based in the UK. Ms. Helen Pearson, Head of Student Education is here in Dharamsala to preside over the selection tests.
A total of 17 shortlisted class 10-passed students are sitting for an entry level test of English Reading & Listening Skills, Science, Mathematics, English Writing and Personal Interviews at the TMAI hall. There are 8 students from TCV Selakui, 03 from CST Bylakuppe and 1 each from CST Mundgod, CST Kalimpong, CST CVP Bylakuppe, CST Kollegal, Upper TCV Dharamsala and Lower TCV Dharamsala.
Pestalozzi International Village Trust (PIVT), UK has been very kind in providing fully funded scholarships for Tibetan students every year to study two year International Baccalaureate (IB) course at Sussex Coast College in Hastings, UK.
The Department of Education has been closely associated with the Pestalozzi for a very long time.
