News

Dharamshala: Keeping in view the policy of the Indian government and the Basic Education Policy of the Central Tibetan Administration’s emphasis on inclusion of children with special needs into mainstream School education, the education department organised a two-day virtual training on Inclusive Education Awareness for Primary teachers of Tibetan schools.

The first training was conducted at TCV Gopalpur from 6-7 October followed by TCV Day School from 7 – 8 October 2021.

The same workshop was organised for TCV Day School teachers at Sherig Conference Hall. The purpose of the workshop was to enable a diverse background of children in the schools to promote diversity so that every child feels safe and learns together.

From this workshop, teachers learned better ways of responding to the needs of all children and successful collaboration between parents and teachers during the ongoing pandemic.

Funded by PRM, the workshop was conducted by Ms Tenzin Paldon, special educator, DOE.
