Dharamshala: A delegation from Italy-based Woeser Association, led by Dr. Raffaella Chionna, paid a visit to the Department of Education, CTA on 3 January 2024.

The delegation held a meeting with Kalon Tharlam Dolma Changra, Secretary Jigmey Namgyal, and program coordinator Jigme Yangchen during their visit. The focal point of discussion revolved around forthcoming school infrastructure development projects.

Later in the day, the delegation team proceeded to Mewoen Tsuglag Petoen School, where they received a warm welcome from Lobsang Gonpo, the Project Officer of the Sambhota Tibetan School Society (STSS), along with the administrative staff of Petoen School. During their visit, the visiting team conducted inspections of the school’s classrooms, Auditorium, library, and visited the newly constructed Rock Garden within the open space of the school premises.

The group expressed their commitment and pledged to exert their utmost efforts within their capacity to extend support for the school’s projects.
