Bylakuppe: The Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration is organising a series of Positive Parenting workshops scheduled from 21 August to 30 August 2023. The workshop commenced in Bylakuppe on 21 August 2023, with an opening address and background introduction by Tsering Yangkyi, representing the Department of Education. These workshops are designed to provide valuable insights and guidance to parents of children attending eight STSS schools and one TCV school, encompassing Tibetan schools across South India, including Bylakuppe, Gurupura, Kollegal, and Mundgod. Over 700 parents are expected to participate in the workshops. The workshops are being expertly facilitated by Manjushri Educational Services.

The primary objective of these workshops is to empower parents with effective positive parenting strategies. This includes modelling positive behaviours, validating their child’s feelings, inculcating a love for reading, effectively managing screen time, etc. As part of the workshop, each parent will receive a valuable Positive Parenting Skill Booklet and engaging children’s literature.

Earlier this year, similar workshops were successfully organized in Manali on June 7, 2023, and in Ladakh from June 23 to June 29, 2023. These sessions saw the enthusiastic participation of a total of 243 parents, all committed to improving their parenting skills.
