Dharamshala: The Tibetan Education Council of the Department of Education conducted virtual training for teachers of Tibetan language and culture school based in Belgium on 17 and 24 July.
The first session of training for teachers of junior class was led by Pasang Tsering, Tibetan language mentor at Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society, the second session for teachers of intermediate class was led by Mingchung, Tibetan language mentor at Upper TCV while, the session for teachers of kindergarten was led by Jampa Dolma and Jamyang Wangmo, teachers at Mewoen Tsuglag Petoen School in Dharamshala.
The training was given at the request of Kalsang Gyal, President of Brussel’s Tibetan community who during his visit to Dharmashala proposed the requirement to Education Kalon.
Accordingly, the virtual training was organised where trainers coached the teachers on inclusive teaching skills and other requisites of developing learning among children through a holistic approach.
A total of 41 teachers participated in the virtual training funded by DANIDA.
